It’s not easy to pry information on favorite resources from top interior designers. After all, their livelihoods depend on their unique choices in fabrics and furnishings. Their choices, and how they use them, is what sets the leaders apart from the rest of the pack. But House & Garden magazine has done just that to come up with what style director Carolyn Sollis calls “the little black book” of home goods and designer trade secrets. The magazine surveyed 20,000 designers, architects and kitchen and bath professionals in four major cities – Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles – to arrive at a nationwide definitive “best of the best” list in 14 home categories. And when it came to fabric, industry leaders overwhelmingly gave their stamp of approval to Waverly as a brand they consistently turn to. (The complete Designers’ Best 07 list can be seen on the magazine’s website.) |
