Romantic Overtures: A New Vintage
Inspired Collection for Today’s Home

The enduring charm of an earlier era, when life’s pace was leisurely and one took the time to stop and smell the roses and admire the view, is beautifully captured in Waverly’s new Romantic Overtures collection.

The vintage mood is evoked with such gentle colors as robins egg blue, creamy chambray and a golden tea stain, softly enlivened by a scattering of blossoms in a rusty rose hue. Deeper background shades of crimson and chocolatey sepia provide compelling contrast on some of the patterns.

The floral and paisley motifs that predominate in this collection are printed on a new textured linen/rayon blend cloth that adds a warm, homespun appeal. Designs such as Ballad Bouquet, with its arrangement of peonies at their peak, its companion Rose Sonata, and Prelude Paisley, with its unusual paisley motif, are showcased on this new dimensional surface.

Damask Duet, with a slub through the damask design, presents a watercolor-like effect, while Pemberton Floral is a lustrous antique brocade that has a sumptuous handstitched look and rich, silky feel.
